Indian Premier League (IPL) is a league of the Indian country of playing twenty20 cricket matches. It is played between 8 teams in which members of different cities of India are included with some international cricketers. Lately, IPL 2019 has been started. For Mumbai Indians team, Alzarri Joseph was selected to play as a bowler. He was a replacement for Adam Milne of New Zealand who had a swollen heel.

In the match against Sunrisers Hyderabad, Alzarri Joseph took 6 wickets for 12 runs in 3.4 overs on 6th April, 2019. He broke the record of Sohail Tanvir which was 6 for 14. He made the Mumbai Indians team extremely proud and happy. Due to his record-breaking performance, the Mumbai Indians team won the match that day by 40 runs. After three days, he also hit the winning runs against Kings XI Punjab

This happiness of Mumbai Indians team and Alzarri Joseph was short-termed. On Saturday, 13th April, 2019, during the match of Mumbai Indians against Rajasthan Royals, Alzarri got injured. When he conceded 53 runs, he landed on his right shoulder near the boundary line in live match. That’s how he dislocated his shoulder and was forced to go out of the field. As he is a right handed bowler/player, he is unable to play until he recovers from his painful injury. This injury is the reason that he will not be playing for the Mumbai Indians team anymore in the tournament. Maybe this is the reason that Mumbai Indians lost the match and Rajasthan Royals won by 4 wickets.

The team of Mumbai Indians have the option to get a replacement but they can’t choose the replacement. No matter what replacement they get, they will not be able to compensate to the absence of the extremely well performing Alzarri Joseph.
