IPL 2021 season to resume from September 19

The second phase of the Indian Premier League 2021 is all geared up to begin in the United Arab Emirates. A total of 31 matches will be played between the franchises for 27 days guaranteeing nonstop entertainment.

In the wake of the rising covid pandemic, IPL 2021 was suspended on May 4, and the remaining part is set to go on September 19. It’s a delight for IPL fans, and they can’t wait to watch their favourite players on the ground. The wait has been quite long, and the league’s second phase is set to take centre stage in the UAE on September 19.

All the remaining 31 matches will be played in a 25 days schedule, while the final will be held on October 15. Delhi Capitals lead the points table with 12 points followed by Chennai Super Kings, and Royal Challengers Bangalore share the second spot with 10 points each. While Mumbai stands in the third position with 8 points, Rajasthan Royals and Punjab Kings share the fourth spot with 6 points each. Kolkata Riders and Sunrisers Hyderabad are at the bottom of the points table, respectively. With half of the matches are yet to be played, let’s wait and see how the table turns. As all teams are still in the hunt for the playoffs, it will be an exciting fight. The first Qualifier is scheduled on October 10th in Dubai, while the Eliminator and the Qualifier 2 will be played on October 11 and 13 at Sharjah. The final is slated to take place in Dubai on October 15th.
