14th November is the last date that the IPL Governing Council had set for the franchises to submit their final lists of players. As the submission date closed, many players who played for certain teams in the last few seasons of IPL have been released. Many of those who were released were immediately traded for other players. The auction for IPL 2020 is scheduled to be on the 19th of December 2019 and we would most likely see some of the new players in the teams along with the veterans.
As the trade window closed, Mumbai Indians and Delhi Capitals (previously Delhi Daredevils) emerged to be the most active participants in the trade. Rajasthan Royals and Kings XI Punjab also contributed to some action. The most valuable trade was that of Ajinkya Rahane, Ravichandran Ashwin and Trent Boult who were acquired by Delhi Capitals, Delhi Capitals, and Mumbai Indians respectively.
