The Twelfth season of IPL is coming up in March and all the teams’ players are finessing their skillset for the tournament. A much familiar cricket tournament to the world audience, Indian Premier League is one of the most watched cricket leagues around the world. IPL comprises of 8 teams named after the Indian cities/ states with players from both National and International sectors.
IPL 12 as announced by the BCCI is going to be held in India as always from March 23rd, 2019. While the format of the tournament remains the same the franchises this year are undergoing changes in their names and the jerseys. Delhi Daredevils, one of the most loved franchise was renamed as Delhi Capitals recently.
And Now, Rajasthan Royals led by Ajinkya Rahane, has shifted their jerseys to pink color referring to link between the team and the Royal color of the state. The team owners released a tweet saying the “Pink Diamonds of Rajasthan” introducing their team and the new color. The team’s official Twitter handle already started a Hashtag #DareToWearPink and is encouraging the fans to post their pictures wearing pink.
Their official website also confirmed the return of Shane Warne as the brand ambassador of the team who supported their decision to turn pink by saying “I am already in love with the new look. I Hope the fans will love it too.”
The Rajasthan Royals team comprises of players like Ajinkya Rahane, Krishnappa Gowtham, Sanju Samson, Jayadev Unadkat, Varun Aaron, Ben Stokes, Steve Smith, Jofra Archer, Jos Butler, Tim Southee, etc. and is one of the strongest teams in the upcoming IPL.
