In the four matches that KKR had won, the team has managed to chase down big targets. KKR has powerful players in its team like Andre Russell, Chris Lynn, Sunil Narine, Robin Uthappa, Shubman Gill, Nitish Rana, Dinesh Karthik, Kuldeep Yadav, Piyush Chawla, Harry Gurney, etc. Andre Russell has become the key player of KKR in this season of IPL. His destructive batting has played a key role in KKR’s victory in multiple matches.

On the other hand, the Dhoni-led team has been playing it slowly in season 12. This is seen in the first match against RCB where CSK took 17 overs to chase a target of 71 runs. The next match against DC where DC set a target of 147, CSK chased it in 20 overs at a loss of 8 wickets. The matches against RR and KXIP where CSK batted first, the team set a total of 175 and 180 runs respectively is a change of pace. But their failure to chase a target of 170 against MI is worrisome. One might argue that CSK might be losing its grip, but it is still too early to judge.
